February 3, Fineko/abc.az. About 200 women will receive technical support in Azerbaijan by the end of 2021.

ABC.AZ reports that the statement has been made today for journalists by Leyla Mammadova, the chairperson of the Board of Agricultural Procurement & Supply OJSC at an event held in Baku.

Regarding the details of the support provided, she noted that about 200 women will be provided with certain technical equipment for further activities as agricultural entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector. Besides, training sessions will be organized for them.

According to Mammadova, in connection with this issue, since 2019 the employees of the OJSC together with the UN Food & Agriculture Organization visited the districts of the country: "During those visits more than 500 meetings with women were held. According to the appeals collected in the meetings, certain areas of women were assessed. As a result, it was surveyed in which sphere female entrepreneurs need support in production of goods most of all, and what financing is needed for that. This work is to continue in 2020."
