February 3, Fineko/abc.az. The World Animal Health Organization (OIE) and the World Health Organization (WHO) announced the animal origin of the 2019 novel koronovirus virus (2019-nCoV).

ABC.AZ reports that in this regard, Azerbaijan, as a member country of both above-mentioned organizations, has already started discussions in this area with the OIE. At the initiative of the two organizations, the development of a roadmap for research and control of the 2019-nCoV virus has been launched.

Within the framework of activities organized by the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AQTA), Azerbaijan imposed temporary restrictions on the import of live animals (including animals for zoos and wild animals), fish and seafood from countries with risk of infection.
