Oil prices fall, and Brent crude by 3.8%

February 4, Fineko/abc.az. Oil prices have moved to increase on Tuesday, after falling on Monday.

At the end of trading on 3 February at the London ICE Futures Exchange, the price of April’s Brent oil futures fell by $2.17 (3.83%) to $54.45 per barrel. By 9:35 am, Brent futures for April grew by $0.43 (0.79%) up to $54.88 per barrel.

Following the trading on 3 February at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), March’s WTI futures dropped by $1.45 (2.81%) to $50.11 per barrel. By 9:35 am, March’s WTI futures increased by $0.53 (1.06%) up to $50.64 per barrel.

The decline in the WTI price from the peak level on 6 January ($63.27) exceeded 25%.
