ABC.AZ reports that the statement was made by President Ilham Aliyev at

the 3 February conference dedicated to the results of the first year of implementation of the State Program of Socio-Economic Development of the Regions of Azerbaijan for 2019-23.

The head of state touched upon the issue of subsidies provided by the state: "Last year, AZN 380 million of subsidies were given to farmers in general. Currently, these subsidies are provided through an electronic agricultural information system. This is a very progressive system. At the same time, the development of an agricultural insurance mechanism has been launched. I’m sure this year the matter will also find its solution."

It should be noted that the Agency for Agricultural Loans & Development under the Ministry of Agriculture is charged with providing subsidies.
