February 5, Fineko/abc.az. Modern greenhouse complexes have been installed on 7 hectares out of the 55 hectares allotted to GEOTERMAL AGRO LLC to be the only farm business in Azerbaijan that is heated by thermal water.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-said statement was made by Jeyhun Jafarov, the head of Kurdamir district executive power, at the conference on the first year of implementation of the State Program on Socio-Economic Development of Regions of Azerbaijan for 2019-23.

The executive power head said that AZN 15 million has been invested in the enterprise, and this amount is going to increase in the coming years: "It is planned to invest another AZN 10 million. Currently, the complex employs 80 people, and 200 people are employed during the season. After the completion of works, 500 people will be provided with permanent jobs in this farm business.

Out of 2,100 tons of tomatoes grown at the enterprise last year, 1,500 tons were exported to Russia."
