Population`s non-cash payments grew sharply more than by AZN 4 bn

February 6, Fineko/abc.az. Compared with 2018, the total volume of debit and credit card transactions in 2019 increased by AZN 5.468 bn or 31% up to AZN 23.24 bn.

ABC.AZ reports that according to Central Bank’s statistics, in 2018 the volume of debit and credit card transactions amounted to AZN 17.8 bn.

And last year transactions for AZN 21.76 bn were carried out via cards around the country. About 80% of operations or AZN 17.285 bn within the country were cash withdrawals, 20% or AZN 4.479 bn were non-cash payments.
