Employers who force their employees to work beyond norm to be fined

February 7, Fineko/abc.az. The Monitoring Group established to control 8-hour work schedule is to work in two directions.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-said statement was made by Minister of Labor & Social Protection Sahil Babayev at a press conference on 6 February.

The minister noted that initially the work will be aimed at reviewing complaints, appeals and taking appropriate measures, informing employers and warning them.

"At the second stage there will be appropriate on-site inspections at workplaces. We’re currently preparing proposals to be submitted to the government and will be provided after the relevant decision. We strive to ensure that research and monitoring do not have negative impact on the business environment. If the employer does not comply with the requirements after the warning, the appropriate mechanism of administrative fines will be applied," the minister emphasized.
