December 27, Fineko/abc.az. Culture & Tourism Minister Abulfaz Garayev of Azerbaijan has stated about positive trends in the domestic tourism market.

At the meeting of the Ministry of Defence’s Collegiate Organ the minister claimed that for the past 11 months the country was visited by 2.477 million people.

"The growth of the tourist flow made up 20%," the minister said.

He added that this year the Tourism Council has taken measures on organizing flights of low-cost airlines, and this work will be continued next year.

Work is underway on promotion of medical tourism and ensuring international certification of health centres in Galaalti, Naftalan and Duzdag that will also enable to ensure the inflow of tourists.
