February 11, Fineko/abc.az. Last year Azerbaijani banks received interest income in the amount of AZN 1.42 bn from loans given to customers.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank's data that along with the growth of loans given to customers in 2019 banks' interest income also increased.

Thus, in comparison with 2018 the total loans to customers for 2019 grew by AZN 2.27 bn up to AZN 14.9 bn. Net loans (target reserves for possible loan losses) increased by AZN 2.3 bn up to AZN 13.45 bn. The growth of loans given to customers also affected the growth of banks' interest income on loans. Compared with 2018, interest income on loans in 2019 grew by AZN 197.1 million up to AZN 1.42 bn. It should be noted that in 2018 the banks received interest income on loans for AZN 1.224 bn. Last year the total interest and income of banks on such types of income increased by AZN 169.2 million up to AZN 1.922 bn.
