Danny Brouillette: OPEC states lose ability to influence oil price

February 12, Fineko/abc.az. The OPEC countries are losing their ability to influence oil prices.

It is reported with reference to the foreign media that the statement was made by US Deputy Secretary of Energy Danny Brouillette.

Commenting on OPEC's decision to cut oil production amid the spread of the coronavirus, Mr. Brouillette said: "Whatever decision OPEC makes, it will be good for them. We appreciate their efforts."

Mr. Brouillette noted that he is not worried about the possibility of further reduction of OPEC oil production, noting that in recent years, the cartel's ability to influence the price has decreased.
