February 12, Fineko/abc.az. The support to the banking sector is quite important.

ABC.AZ reports that the relevant statement was made by Zakir Nuriyev, the chairman of the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan at the ongoing Baku forum Visa Cashless.

He noted that it is planned to implement joint projects to support the sector and achieve Visa's consolidation with banks.

At the same time, the ABA chairman pointed out that it is necessary to improve the financial literacy at banks and among their customers: "We’re currently working over improvement of the financial literacy between banks. This should be done not only in Baku, but also in all the districts of Azerbaijan. And our observations show that the banking sector is ready for this, and even the demand for it has already formed. And, as I said, we must work together at the highest level."
