February 12, Fineko/abc.az. Roday, Azerbaijan, having crossed its borders, has started digitalization of the Great Silk Road.

ABC.AZ reports that the statement was made at the Visa Cashless Forum by Vusal Gasimli, the executive director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms & Communications.

According to Gasimli, the digitization of the Silk Road, which is currently headed by Azerbaijan, will have positive impact on the Central Asian region: "This shows that Azerbaijan has undertaken this burden and is able to implement it successfully. The fact is that the shortest route between China and Europe runs through Azerbaijan. In this regard, it is precisely our country that is able to implement the digitalization of the Silk Road in the most successful form."
