BSE becomes a partner of World Federation of Exchanges

15:32 - 14.02.2020

February 14, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) has received the status of a partner exchange of the World Federation of Exchanges.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the BFB that it became the first exchange in the region to start cooperation with the Federation.

The partnership with this organization will create conditions for disclosure of the BSE’s turnover indicators in international information resources, thereby making special contribution to improving Azerbaijan’s position in the indicators "market capitalization share in GDP”, as well as “protection of small investors" in the Doing Business report.

This partnership will also increase opportunities for mutual listing and cooperation between the BSE and Federation’s other member exchanges. As a result, foreign investors’ investment opportunities in the capital market of Azerbaijan will increase in the future.

The Federation is the largest joint organization created in 1961 by stock exchanges (stock, currency, commodity and universal exchanges), which is the main component of the infrastructure of financial markets.
