February 19, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past year the Judicial & Legal Council monitored about 50 courts that were warned of violations. Serious measures were taken against judges, which led to appearance of such cases.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-said statement was made by Suleyman Ismayilov, the head of the Presidential Administration’s Department for Work with Citizens' Appeals, in an article published in the official newspaper.

The article says that in 2019 in connection with activity of the Khatayi, Nasimi, Sabunchu, Sabayil, Yasamal District Court of Baku, and Shirvan, Absheron, Hajigabul, Gadabay, Goygol, Hajigabul, Khachmaz, Gazakh, Guba, Masalli, Sabirabad, Salyan, Shemakha, Terter, Zagatala and Zardab other city and district courts received relatively many cases. At the same time, there were also a lot of appeals on the occasion of activity of appeal and military courts.

"Compared with 2018, the number of appeals in connection with economic disputes has decreased. As a result of execution of the Presidential Decree on Further Reforms in the Judicial System, that opened a new stage in the development of the judicial system, the important steps were taken to accelerate the solution of disputes about business activity, including measures aimed at improving the enforcement of judicial decisions in upholding the rights of entrepreneurs," Ismayilov emphasized.
