KOBIA says about plans to support entrepreneurs in tourism sector


February 19, Fineko/abc.az. The Small & Medium-Sized Business Development Agency (KOBIA) plans to support entrepreneurs at the 2020 European Football Championship.

ABC.AZ reports that the statement was made by KOBIA chairman of board Orhan Mammadov at the event under the name "Euro 2020: Prospects for SMEs".

According to Mammadov, the tourism sector will be active during the period of tournament, that is why it is necessary to expand the activities of small and medium-sized businesses in this direction. Recalling that guests from Turkey, Switzerland and Wales will come to Azerbaijan for the period of the championship, the chair noted that a large number of fans and tourists will arrive in Baku: "Within the framework of this competition, AFFA together with UEFA will open a fan zone. These fan zones will start functioning a few days before the games and will remain active until the end of the season. In its turn, KOBIA will provide the necessary support in this direction. At the Baku Olympic Stadium, where the matches will be held, all conditions will be created for the permanent activity of representatives of small and medium-sized businesses."
