Central Bank to hold a notes auction for AZN 30 million

February 20, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank is to conduct an auction for placement of its short-term notes.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Baku Stock Exchange that the auction will be held on 21 February.

The volume of short-term notes put up for the auction is AZN 30 million, the nominal value of a note is 100 manats, the circulation period is 252 days, and the payment date is 2 November 2020.

The total number of orders submitted by each bank must not exceed two orders. Non-competitive orders may be accepted if their volume does not exceed 20% of the issue of notes. Calculations on transactions concluded as a result of the auction will be performed in the T+1 regime. The price range limit for submitted orders is not applied.

It should be noted that only local licensed banks can be buyers of short-term notes of the Central Bank.
