Food safety points to be set up at the border

March 2, Fineko/abc.az. Food safety points will be created near border checkpoints in Azerbaijan by the end of the year.

ABC.AZ reports that the statement was made by Rufat Rustamzadeh, deputy chairman of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AQTA).

According to Agency’s deputy chair, AQTA will implement international experience in this area at border checkpoints. The issue was also discussed during Rustamzadeh-led delegation’s visit to Lithuania and Latvia.

Within the trip the Azerbaijani delegates visited the border crossing point of Vilnius airport in Lithuania, the highways crossing from Belarus to Myadininkai, the railway border points with Belarus in Kena, as well as the highways from Belarus to Paternieki in Latvia, and the border points with Russia in Terekhov and got acquainted with the experience of both countries in this direction.
