Azerbaijani customs officers prevented an attempt of illegal import of cigarettes

January 4, Fineko/abc.az. Officials of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan have taken steps to prevent the illegal importation of various goods in the country.

The SCC reports that another attempt has been prevented on the border with Georgia.

"A citizen of Azerbaijan tried to carry 4,380 cigarettes of different brands across the border," a Committee’s representative said.

The case is under investigation.
