March 13, Fineko/abc.az. The members of the working group, which unites public and private entities operating in the field of transport in Azerbaijan, exchanged views about cargo transportation with Thomas Kargl, a member of the Supervisory Board of Rail Cargo Group (a subsidiary of the Austrian Federal Railway (OBB)).

ABC.AZ reports that it was brought to the attention of the working group that 1.5 million containers a year should be transported in the East-West direction, and the number of containers transported between Europe and China reaches 600,000. At the end of the meeting a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Baku Port and Rail Cargo Group. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Taleh Ziyadov, the general director of the Baku Port, and Thomas Kargl, a member of the Supervisory Board of Rail Cargo Group.
