17:00 - 16.03.2020

March 16, Fineko/abc.az. The entry of buses on regular bus route lines Istanbul-Baku has also been restricted at the border.

ABC.AZ reports that the relevant statement was made by Nurida Allahyarova, the head of the Public Relations Office of the State Road Transport Service under the Ministry of Transport, Communications & High Technologies.

She noted that for the purposes of security measures, permission for transit through the Georgian border was given today to buses with state license plates 99 JH 866 and 34 EK 7002, owned by transport companies VARDAR and METRO.

"Since the METRO’s bus belonging to Turkey does not have a permit for transit across the border, the passengers of this bus were provided with a special bus of the Ground Transport Agency of the Ministry of Economy & Sustainable Development of Georgia. The passengers will be able to relax at the SOCAR gas station in the Georgian city of Lanchkhuti, and will be provided with water and necessary food."

Allahyarova stressed that after the general procedures the passengers will be allowed to cross the state border at checkpoints.
