March 16, Fineko/abc.az. Serious recovery has been provided for the State Social Protection Fund as a result of the conducted reforms.

ABC.AZ reports that the statement was made by Minister of Labor & Social Protection Sahil Babayev at a reception with President Ilham Aliyev today. The minister noted that for the first time AZN 320 million allocated for pensions, financed at the expense of state obligations, were returned to the State Budget within the budget correction package of AZN 150 million in the middle of 2019 and AZN 170 million at the end of 2019.

According to the minister, due to the cancellation of unjustified and false appointments, an additional AZN 200 million were saved, which remained in the SSPF reserves for pension reforms this year: "In general, the difference of AZN 520 million formed and that is very important from angle of pension system improvement. Another important indicator is that the funds allocated from the State Budget to the SSPF for financing the state obligations made up 38% in SPF revenues at the end of 2017, and in 2020 they fell by 29%. Thus, with the independence of the Pension Fund, serious progress has been made towards reducing budget dependency."
