Estonia – “jumping-off place” for the Scandinavian market, - Indrek Kiverik

Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Estonia to the Republic of Azerbaijan Indrek Kiverik has received a delegation from Caspian Energy chaired by Natalia Aliyeva, President and Editor-in-Chief of Caspian Energy International Media Group.

 

During the meeting the sides discussed prospects for expanding the informational cooperation between Estonia and the EU within the framework of projects of the Caspian European Club, Caspian American Club and Caspian Energy International Media Group. Indrek Kiverik also expressed interest in the participation of Estonian companies in Caspian Energy Forum - 2018 Tbilisi.

 

Speaking about the year’s results of the Estonia's presidency in the EU, Indrek Kiverik said Azerbaijan has revitalized its efforts in the European direction, and signing of a new Agreement on Strategic Partnership is on the agenda.

 

As far as the bilateral relations are concerned, Indrek Kiverik highlighted the possibilities in the field of transport and logistics. “Both Azerbaijan and Estonia sit at the crossroads of trade routes. Estonia can join the North-South transport route. For Azerbaijan, Estonia is a jumping-off place for the Scandinavian market”, he continued.

 

At the end of the meeting Indrek Kiverik gave his exclusive interview to Caspian Energy. In the interview he touched upon the possibilities for the bilateral relations to develop in the field of logistics, tourism and IT. The issues concerning development of cooperation in the energy sector were also discussed.
