January 5, Fineko/abc.az. Facts of purchase of property in Turkish cities, mostly in the cities of Izmir, Istanbul, Antalya and others, by Azerbaijani citizens have become more frequent lately.

Vafadar Akhundov, the head of the Association of Realtors of Azerbaijan, has stated that citizens need to be vigilant as facts of fraud have become frequent.

"Last year, 248 Azerbaijani citizens bought property in Turkey, but most of them were bought directly from the seller without participation of Azerbaijani realtors that causes certain risks in some cases. For example, 100,000 euro worth housing is sold for 150,000-200,000 euro and in case of its resale the housing is sold at a price below the purchased one," Akhundov said.
