Baku Metro closes


March 31, Fineko/abc.az. With the purpose to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and ensure public health safety in Azerbaijan, train traffic in the Baku Metro will be suspended from 10 pm on 31 March 2020 until 20 April 2020, ABC.AZ was informed at the Operational Headquarters of the Cabinet Ministers.

So, the underground, as a closed space, is currently creating favorable conditions for the spread of the virus, since there are no proper disinfection and other preventive measures in the public transport. At the same time, the Baku Metro does not comply with the requirements for density among passengers and the quarantine regime.
