17:22 - 6.04.2020

April 6, Fineko/abc.az. The Ministry of Labor & Social Protection, the Central Bank and the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan inform the population that in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, the schedules for payment of labor pensions, social benefits, scholarships and compensations, as well as targeted state social assistance have been changed with the purpose to manage the density of citizens in front of cash machines for the period of special quarantine regime.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank that pension payments will begin on 8 April for the Sabayil, Yasamal, Binagadi, Nasimi and Garadag districts of Baku, on 9 April for the Nizami, Narimanov and Khatayi districts of Baku, on 10 April for the Khazar, Pirallakhi, Sabunchi and Surakhan districts of Baku, and on 15 April for other districts of the country, as well as for civil servants, persons of military and special rank. During the special quarantine regime, benefits, scholarships and compensations will be given on 20 and 21 April, and the payment of targeted lump-sum payments on 28 April.

As the Covid-19 pandemic prohibits people aged over 65 years from leaving their homes, those in these age groups are recommended to get funds transferred to bank cards with the help of family members or social workers by contacting Call Center 142, and single people are recommended to get social payments transferred to a bank card with the help of a social worker.

During the period of special quarantine, social payments such as pensions, allowances, scholarships, compensations, and targeted assistance can be obtained at any bank's cash machine, as well as at any cash machine or post-terminal of Azerpocht without charging any additional interests.
