PM: Economic growth in Georgia to decline sharply

16:06 - 10.04.2020

April 10, Fineko/abc.az. A substantial decline in economic growth is expected in Georgia because of the coronavirus pandemic.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Georgian media that the statement was made by the country's Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia.

The PM said that the Georgian government will fight on two fronts - for health and economic development: "We expect that economic growth will be seriously reduced, and therefore changes will be made to the budget."

The WB forecasts a sharp slowdown in Georgia's economic growth due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
