Azerbaijan bought 11 new locomotives - Statistics

April 13, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) carried 15.232 million tons of cargo and 3.848 million passengers for 2019.

ABC.AZ reports that these figures mean a 9.2% increase in cargo turnover compared with 2018. Growth was also recorded in passenger transportation. Thus, ADY transported 35.5% more passengers by rail than in 2018. In addition, last year ADY purchased 10 passenger cars, two electric trains of the KISS brand and 11 new electric trains.
