Azerbaijan`s imports and exports decreased - Official information

April 15, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of Azerbaijan's foreign trade operations amounted to $6.843 bn for Jan-Mar 2020.

ABC.AZ reports that according to State Customs Committee’s monthly report, the foreign trade operations for the 2019 same term reached $7.62 bn.

The reduction in foreign trade operations is conditioned mainly by a decrease in imports. For the first 3 months of 2020 the import operations amounted to $2.636 bn and export operations $4.206 bn. The positive balance totaled $1.569 bn.

For comparison, for Jan-Mar 2019 the amount of imports reached $3.135 bn, exports $4.484 bn, and the positive balance $1.348 bn. Revenues from crude oil exports to Azerbaijan fell from $3.534 bn to $3.522 bn.
