April 17, Fineko/abc.az. The Ministry of Economy has warned against inadmissibility of the reduction of the number of employees in business entities that received financial support in connection with the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).

ABC.AZ reports that Elshan Rahimli, deputy head of the Main Department of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy, said that in the context of the pandemic, employment issues should be approached sensitively, not to allow reducing of staffs and wages.

"In connection with the pandemic, there is a serious decrease in the number of employees by taxpayers who received financial support from the state, and the direction of financial support the State provides for labor remuneration and social insurance of employees is under strict control. In case of non-compliance with these conditions by taxpayers who received financial support, appropriate measures will be taken within the framework of legislation in respect of those payers, and the return of the state financial support will be ensured," Rahimli said.
