April 21, Fineco/abc. az. As of 20 April the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan received applications for financial support from 18,260 taxpayers and 48,659 individual (micro) entrepreneurs (66,919 taxpayers in total) affected by the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) for payment of salaries of their hired employees, news website ABC.AZ was informed at the MoE.

The Economy Ministry reviewed and approved applications from 15,385 entrepreneurs for payment of a certain part of wages for 151,198 hired employees, and submitted the relevant data to the Ministry of Finance for transferring the allocated money to the bank accounts of entrepreneurs. Consideration of applications from other taxpayers is ongoing. So far, the volume of financial aid for the approved applications has amounted to AZN 68.05 million, including AZN 34.02 million of the 1st stage of this support.

According to the State Treasury Agency of the Finance Ministry, as of 20 April the Finnace Ministry ensured transfer of AZN 31.4 million to the accounts of 13,722 entrepreneurs for payment of salaries of 138,422 employees.
