April 24, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku City Circuit (BCC) operating company clarified the latest situation with the F1 Grand Prix, which was postponed indefinitely because of the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the BCC that the decision to postpone the F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix was made after lengthy tripartite negotiations between the government of Azerbaijan, the F1 management and the International Automobile Federation (FIA).

Currently, all the participants of the F1 world championship continue to monitor the current situation. The exact date of the Baku F1 race will not be set until the situation stabilizes, as well as until the quarantine measures are completely eliminated. The management of the operating company and F1 agree that it would be appropriate to hold the race in Baku until mid-October.
