12:02 - 27.04.2020

April 27, Fineko/abc.az. Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov held a briefing on Saturday.

ABC.AZ reports that the minister said that in case of forced tightening of the quarantine regime, entrepreneurs may encounter economic losses, material damage or large-scale bankruptcy.

Jabbarov pointed out that the coronavirus pandemic not only led to numerous human deaths, but also posed a number of economic, financial, social and medical problems to the countries of the world.

"Even the leading countries of the world are currently looking for ways to overcome the consequences caused by the pandemic, to get out of this trouble with less losses. Azerbaijan's policy of protecting its citizens from the coronavirus pandemic, preventing the spread of infection, and implementing effective measures are yielding positive results. As a result of timely multilateral preventive measures taken under the leadership and direct control of President Ilham Aliyev, cases of coronavirus infection in our country were limited. Azerbaijan, which is an example of a well-thought - out and purposeful policy, has also distinguished itself in this matter in a positive sense," the minister emphasized.
