Sugar beet is grown on 848 hectares in Agjabedi district

April 28, Fineko/abc.az. ABC.AZ has been informed at the State Agricultural Development Centre of Agjabedi district that the planting of sugar beets has been completed in this district.

In general, sowing was carried out on an area of 440.9 hectares. Currently, farmers who carry out work on cultivation, are developing fields and conducting cultivation work. The harvesting will begin in September.

Last year, sugar beet was grown on an area of 848 hectares in Agjabedi district, and 27,015.6 tons of products were received. The average yield per hectare was 318.5 quintals. The collected products were transferred to the Imishli sugar factory.
