SOCAR to reduce oil production

April 30, Fineko/abc.az. SOCAR is charged with measures related to the temporary restriction of oil production in Azerbaijan within the framework of OPEC+.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to SOCAR that in May and in June of this year country’s crude oil production in comparison with the approved targets for 2020 will amount to 96,000, in July-December – 63,000, and in January 2021 - April 2022 – 30,000 barrels.

SOCAR's sub-company Azneft has developed a program that provides for reducing daily production by 17,000 bpd in the first period to the level of 100,000 barrels, gradually increasing in the subsequent period to the level of 5,000 bpd, and from next year - adding another 6,000 barrels, thus, in 2021, total crude oil production will reach the level of 111,000 bpd.
