Kamran Aliyev has become prosecutor general – voting on the occasion held in parliament

May 1, Fineko/abc.az. Kamran Aliyev has been elected as the new prosecutor general of Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that at today’s plenary session of Milli Majlis the MPs considered the matter of approval of the appointment of the prosecutor general for the first time. The session involved 116 MPs.

Adalet Veliyev, head of the Department of Relations with Political Parties & Legislative Power of the Presidential Administration, noted that President Ilham Aliyev has nominated Kamran Aliyev for the post of prosecutor general. Then the question was put to a vote. As a result of voting by 114 votes, Kamran Aliyev was elected as the new prosecutor general.
