Quarantine regime extended in Azerbaijan until 31 May

The Azerbaijani government has made a decision to extend the special quarantine regime until 00:00 on 31 May 2020, having analyzed the current sanitary and epidemiological situation in Azerbaijan, the preventive measures applied in other countries, as well as the recommendations of the World Health Organization related to a new type of coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

ABC.AZ reports that according to the Operational Headquarters, it was also decided to ease a number of restrictions applied taking into account the rate of infection of the virus among the population, the dynamics of recovery of patients. Easing of restrictions is carried out in stages in the cities of Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Lankaran, Absheron district and other regions, based on the current sanitary and epidemiological situation, the number of patients and the rate of infection.

In this regard, the activity of employees of state organizations will be restored in a certain number from 00:00 on 4 May 2020 in the cities of Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Lankaran and Absheron district.
