Rice planting starts on 40 hectare area in Astara

May 6, Fineko/abc.az. The rice planting has started in the Astara district since 1 May.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Regional Center for Agricultural Development that so far rice has been planted on 40 hectares. If in 2019 rice was planted on 236.7 hectares of the district, this year it is planned to increase this figure up to 300 hectares and in the future up to 1,000 hectares.

Last year, the district produced 994 tons of products by 42 centners per hectare.
