May 8, Fineko/abc.az. In accordance with the plan of gradual easing of the special quarantine regime and the current sanitary and epidemiological situation, a decision was made to resume the operation of the Baku Metro from 6 am on 9 May 2020.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Operational Headquarters that the Baku Metro should carry out its activities during the pandemic in accordance with the requirements and rules of the Operational Headquarters, including the Guidelines for the prevention of coronavirus infection in public transport.

At the same time the entrance in the metro will be allowed for passengers who leave their place of residence only with permission via SMS, with registration on the portal icaze.e-gov.az, with a certificate of official identity or workplace.

Passengers are required to wear protective masks on the territory of the metro, as well as on trains, and keep a social distance.
