January 12, Fineko/abc.az. The Property Acceptance Commission under the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan has been established for support of activity of the Energy Issues Regulation Agency (EIRA).

The Ministry reports that the Agency was set up with the purpose of conformity of the utility services to the market economy, improvement of surveillance mechanisms and sustainable development of the sphere, and ensuring transparency and efficiency in the energy supply, availability of services to entrepreneurs.

The Energy Issues Regulation Agency was founded by a presidential decree from 22 December 2017. The Agency has already passed state registration at the Ministry of Taxes, and the process of elimination of organizations, on the basis of which it was created, has started.
