May 12, Fineko/abc.az. The State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy is an organization in the structure of the Ministry of Economy that provides state control over timely and complete collection of taxes, mandatory state social insurance, unemployment insurance, and mandatory medical insurance within the framework of the single financial and budgetary policy in Azerbaijan, as well as other mandatory payments that are assigned by law and by an act of the President to the competence of the Service.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the Regulation on the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy, approved today by the presidential decree.

According to the Regulation, the Service is run by a chief appointed and dismissed from office by the country’s president. The chief is personally responsible for the performance of the duties assigned to the service and the exercise of his rights.

The chief has four deputies, appointed and dismissed by the president. Deputy chiefs act in accordance with the division of duties and are personally responsible for the performance of their duties.
