Azerbaijan exported over 50,000 tons of nitrogen fertilizers for Jan-Apr

May 14, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 4 months Azerbaijan exported 50,438 tons of nitrogen fertilizers for $7.365 million, ABC.AZ was informed at the State Customs Committee.

It should be noted that on 16 January 2019 the SOCAR Carbamid plant was put into operation on the territory of Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park. The plant is able to produce 435,000-650,000 tons of urea (nitrogen fertilizers), using 660 million cu m of natural gas a year as raw materials. 70% of the output is intended for export that allowed the country to receive additional income of up to $160 million annually.
