May 18, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Apr the retail trade network of Azerbaijan sold food, beverages and tobacco products for AZN 11.516 bn, including foods, beverages and tobacco products for AZN 6.169 bn and nonfoods for AZN 5.346 bn.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that the introduction of the quarantine regime has weakened business activity in this sphere, especially in the sale of non-food products, and compared with this March, in April the retail turnover decreased by 33.1%, including nonfoods by 38.6%.

As a whole, compared with the 2019 relevant term, the trade turnover decreased by 1.9% for Jan-Apr 2020, including non-foods by 6.5%, while the turnover of foods, beverages and tobacco products increased by 2.6%. E-commerce turnover grew by 1.6 times against Jan-Apr 2019.
