May 18, Fineko/abc.az. The State Agency for Mandatory Medical Insurance provided 21,462 medical workers and 2,372 non-medical workers involved in the measures aimed to combat a new type of coronavirus with a wage supplement proportional to the working hours of March.

ABC.AZ was informed on the occasion at the Agency.

Thus, the Agency paid an urgent wage supplement of AZN 11.7 million, in proportion to the work for March to medical and non-core employees of 145 state medical institutions of Baku and 118 state medical institutions of other cities and districts of Azerbaijan.

In accord with Cabinet Ministers’ Resolution it was paid only AZN 4.9 million in the amount of 3-month official (tariff) salary to 15,113 medical workers carrying out preventive measures.
SAMMI Finance Department’s head Rasim Hasanov explained the calculation as follows: "Let's say that the salary of a district pediatrician of the 13th category working in a polyclinic is 406 manats. If a doctor is involved in measures aimed at combating coronovirus infection for six days, he should receive 292 manat 32 gapik. 292.32 = ((406 / 25) x 6) x 3. I note that the final amount will be calculated on all salary deductions that must be paid by the employee.”
