January 15, Fineko/abc.az. Moscow River Shipping Company (MRSP) and Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company are negotiating about the purchase of ship ‘Maxim Gorky’, which was built in 1934 and is known as the "yacht of Stalin".

MRSP CEO Konstantin Anisimov confirmed this information, adding that negotiations with ACSC and the administration of Nizhny Novgorod.

"The vessel is of interest for Azerbaijanis, including as an exhibit, at which a Museum of the Navy can be created— ACSC marks its 160th anniversary in 2018. But the "Maxim Gorky" vessel is also for Nizhny Novgorod an ‘iconic ship’ as it was built at the local shipyards, and in 2018 it marks 150th anniversary since the birth of the writer," said Anisimov, who refused to discuss the amount of the deal.
