June 2, Fineko/abc.az. Georgia will not be able to open its borders to tourists from countries with a high level of coronavirus spread, including Armenia.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to foreign media that the relevant statement was made by Amiran Gamkrelidze, the head of the National Center for Disease Control & Public Health.

He points out that Georgia will primarily accept tourists from countries with minimal risk.

"Certain procedures are being prepared that a tourist must undergo before visiting Georgia," Center’s head said.

Georgia will open its borders to foreign tourists from 1 July. At the first stage the country intends to create safe corridors for mutual tourist trips with Israel, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.
