Food prices have risen in neighboring country

June 3, Fineko/abc.az. In May the consumer price index in Georgia increased by 0.2% compared with the previous month.

ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in the report of the National Statistical Office of the country.

According to the report, annual inflation made up 6.5%. Last month, restaurant and hotel services rose by 4.3%, health services by 1.3%, and transport services fell by 2.4%.

In terms of annual inflation, foods and non-alcoholic beverages account for 14.7%, fruit and grapes 47.1%, milk, cheese and eggs 24.6%, fish 17.1%, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and confectionery 14.5%, coffee, tea and cocoa 13.9%, meat 13.5%, butter 13.1%, mineral waters, beverages, fruit and vegetable juices 9.5%. Bread price rose by 9.2% and vegetables by 2.7%.
