June 3, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan exported 31,650 decaliters of wine and wine wort for $568,620 in the first quarter of 2020.

ABC.AZ reports that export decreased by 68.9% and earnings by 61.5% compared with the 2019 same term.

The main export of wine products accounted for Russia. In particular, for Jan -Mar Azerbaijan exported 27,870 decaliters to Russia (a decline of 71.2%) for $458,890. (decline of 64%). 88% of all wine exports accounted for Russia.

Azerbaijan exported wine and wine wort for $7.309 million in 2019.

Last year wine production in Azerbaijan amounted to 531,720 decaliters. The decline in production made up 64.5% versus 2018.

One of the goals is to increase the export of wine products up to 1.875 million decaliters by 2026.
