Oil prices decline after rising the day before

June 4, Fineko/abc.az. Oil of standard grades declines in price in Thursday’s auction after a rise in prices the day before.

By 9:30 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the Brent crude futures for August fell in price by $0.55 (1.38%) to $39.24 a barrel.

Following the trading on 3 June the price of Brent oil contracts for August increased by $0.22 (0.56%) up to $39.79 a barrel.

By 9:30 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI futures for July fell by $0.74 (1.98%) to $36.55 a barrel.

At the end of trading on 3 June at the NYMEX the price of July’s WTI futures rose by $0.48 (1.3%) up to $37.29 a barrel.

According to Dow Jones, both contracts ended trading at their highest levels since 6 March.
