Alstom has presented locomotives made for Azerbaijan Railways

Presentation of first locomotive Prima M4 produced by company Alstom Transportation S. A. for Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) has been organized in Belfort, France.

During the presentation ADY deputy chairman Hijran Valehov has stated that a lot of work on upgrade of the ADY locomotive fleet has been underway in recent years.

"Within the framework of the agreement signed in May 2014 with Alstom Transportation S. A. the latter produces currently 10 passenger locomotives Prima M4 (AZ4A). ADY intends to continue expansion of cooperation with Alstom,” Valehov said.

The locomotives will operate in the directions East-West and North-South.
