ECB kept stable interest rates, and euro/dollar rate rose slightly

June 4, Fineko/abc.az. The European Central Bank has once again held a meeting to review interest rates.

ABC.AZ reports that at the meeting the Bank did not made any changes in interest rates, as some analysts had predicted.

The ECB kept the base interest rate on loans at zero and the deposit rate at minus 0.5%. This, as expected, led to a rise in the price of the euro to the US dollar. Thus, the euro to the US dollar rose less than by 0.1% in Thursday’s trading to $1.1241.
